New SWTOR 7.1 release date Timeline has arrived

BioWare detailed the new timeline for the release of SWTOR 7.1 and their plans for the upcoming final phase of 7.1 PTS testing. And players can also prepare enough SWTOR Credits before that to make their journey smoother.

The SWTOR community manager said that first, the PTS will reopen soon. They plan to go live by the end of the month. This phase will contain all of the R-4 Anomaly Operation and the Manaan Daily Area, effectively giving everyone a glimpse of what will be included in 7.1. Second, this will be the final PTS phase for 7.1. Once the PTS closes, the team will work to refine what players see. 7.1 is for Midsummer, and as they get closer to releasing this game update, theyll be hosting a livestream focused on 7.1 content.

Galactic Season 2 will end on Tuesday, July 5th, which is midsummer. In many other games, Galactic Seasons mimics the battle pass/season system, with major content updates only coming with each new season. Players are also expected to get Galactic Season 3 with the release of 7.1 and 7.2, with Galactic Season 4 likely to be released later this year. If its the same length as Galaxy season 2, itll be 7.2 at the end of November.

This is pure speculation. We know BioWare wants a PvP revamp for 7.2, and as of now, we dont expect any major story content in 7.1, so its unclear when the next story update will be. SWTORs creative director, Charles Boyd, recently announced on Twitter that the next phase of recording has begun, but that doesnt indicate well when the storyline will actually be complete. Players can buy SWTOR Credits in advance at IGGM to be well prepared. Come on!
