A Summer Micro Wedding

This beautiful wedding, hosted in Tavistock, Devon, is filled with the lushest, green floral decor.

The couple, a Surface Pattern Textile Designer and Matt, an Auction House Owner, tied the knot on 5th June this season with a wedding ceremony of just 30, after Covid derailed their original intention to have over 100 guests within the day.

"Covid meant lots of last-minute decisions once we weren't in a position to finalize plans on a lot until we knew exactly what the roadmap was. And we didn't wish to waste money on things we wouldn't need."

"We were extremely sad to possess so many family members, not in a position to celebrate our big day with us. But it had been still probably the most perfect day."

"We love greenery and interesting textures and architectural shapes within the foliage. We didn't want mountains of flowers, just hints of white and subtle blue, but mainly plenty of interesting shapes of leaves."

"Our florist sourced us probably the most incredible mixture of different ferns. We also love hints of brass and gold. Our florist Amanda was amazing at adding hints throughout our flowers. We desired to complement our surroundings but additionally wanted to possess a modern slant, so as not to become too rustic."

"We were using a BBQ and toasted marshmallows around the beach below our campsite at night. He desired to take a photo, but was secretly filming because he got recorded on one knee! We got engaged in August 2019, so nearly 24 months."

"When we've got together in 2012 I had already booked a vacation to Australia. Matt sent the song in my experience when I was residing in Australia and it's always stuck around. I also went and lived/worked in America from 2016-to 2018 and also the lyrics always felt very attached to us being apart but always 'waiting for every other."

We were nervous about this once we didn't know/hadn't met them before coupled with reading problem reports of registrars implementing their very own Covid rules and restrictions around the day. But they were perfect. They chose an Apache blessing for the ceremony."

"Don't overthink all of the little things an excessive amount of. During the day everything will just be exercise. If you have great suppliers, they'll take proper care of everything around the day. If you are on the budget an attractive wedding can nonetheless be done, it's about being resourceful with which you spend your hard-earned money. If you are doing lots of the wedding yourself, digital lists are the best friend."
