On February 28th The Slayer skill will receive the first significant update it has received ever since The Nodon Front released last July. The update comes in the form of new Slayer monsters aiming to spice up the support skill which is the most popular money-making option for many RuneScape players. We were aware that this update will add three brand new Abyssal Slayer creatures to RuneScape however, the Jagex, the developer Jagex has now given us some additional information detailing key aspects of their drop table.

The greatest item comes from Abyssal Lords that require the requisite 115 Slayer to be killed. They drop a brand new melee weapon that is tier 92, called the Abyssal Scourge. It is an update to the iconic Abyssal Whip that was first included in the old MMORPG around seventeen years ago. When successful, attacks that deal with the Scourge trigger the Abyssal Parasite effect, extending the duration of all melee bleed abilities.

It isn't just the Lords which have unusual drops too. For instance, the Abyssal Beasts (105 Slayer) will drop one of the Jaws of the Abyss Helmet, a tier 85 melee helmet with power armor. Similar to similar Abyssal Slayer creature's drop it enables the many bleed abilities found in RuneScape.

The weaker Abyssal Savages that require 95 Slayer tobuy RS gold defeat don't have any special drops. However, they can drop Abyssal Armor Spikes which are a consumable add-ons to enhance existing Armor Spikes or the trimmed Armor Spikes. The drop is available from all three brand new Slayer monsters.
