Motivation can provide the extra push you need to complete a task, but it doesn't always appear when you need it. Give yourself some motivation to keep going if you're having trouble starting or finishing a task. Ask a friend, family member, or group to hold you accountable with a bit of pressure. If you're attempting to achieve long-term goals, make sure you have a set of clear objectives and positive energy to stay motivated throughout the process. Here are 5 ways to maintain your positive energy:-

Build Enthusiasm:- Everyone needs positive thoughts and a little boost now and then to get started on a task or endeavor. Make a statement or write out why you need to accomplish something.

  • Make a list of the advantages of finishing it. "I'm going for a run right now because I want to grow fitter," you may say, or "I need to do my assignment so that I can achieve an A."

  • Make a mental note of the consequences of procrastination. Promise yourself something like, "If I finish this now, I'll be able to leave work early today" or "If I finish this now, I'll be able to work on something more enjoyable."

  • Create a vision board with images that symbolize your goals for the year. You should learn how to motivate yourself by following simple steps.

Take Breaks:- To avoid burnout, take breaks now and again. While it is critical to prevent distractions, too much effort can lead to inefficiency. Make time for breaks throughout the day and focus on how to motivate yourself amid your busy schedule.

  • Make sure you take lengthier pauses to recuperate and renew yourself throughout the weekend.

  • Take 5 minutes per hour, for example, to go to the toilet or stretch.

  • Make these breaks a priority so you can look forward to them. "If I can finish these reports by 2 p.m., I can go take a brief break," you could persuade yourself.

By checking emails and your phone, you can avoid multitasking and your productivity will suffer as a result.

Stay Accountable:- Find a partner who will hold you accountable. An accountability partner is someone who periodically checks in on you to see how you're progressing toward your objectives. Inquire if a friend, mentor, or coworker would be willing to serve as your accountability partner.

  • Schedule meetings or phone conversations ahead of time so that you have a firm deadline to meet. This can encourage you to finish something by the deadline.

  • For comments, send your work to your accountability partner. Allow them to be completely honest and comprehensive in their feedback.

  • Your accountability partner can also give you reminders, such as "Remember that you said you'd submit the proposal by the end of the week" or "Have you applied for funding yet?"

Create a routine:- Build a schedule that works for you, but keep it consistent day-to-day and bring positive energy. Try to do the same activities or tasks at the same time everyday. Even if you're not feeling up to the task, a routine can help you get in the right headspace to accomplish it.

  • For example, if you want to build your website. You should spend an hour every afternoon working on the code.

  • Find out what time of day you work best. For example, if you get the most done in the morning, schedule your more difficult tasks for the morning.

Whatever you have in your routine should be done regardless of your feelings. Even if you're in a poor mood, you should try to stay on track with your schedule and only dwell on positive thoughts.

Accomplish Long-Term Goals:- When we're unsure of where we want to go, it might be difficult to push ourselves. Make a measurable, actionable end objective for yourself.

  • If you're in school and your ultimate objective is to get into a specific college or to land a specific internship.

  • If you wish to start your own business, you must first decide what type of business you will run. Do you wish to sell a product, advise with other businesses, or provide community services?

Make sure you're clear about what you want to achieve.
