Physical Share Transfer to Demat Account
Shares can simply be dematerialized by submitting a DRF form to depositories such as CDSL or NSDL. The depository will convert those shares to demat after receiving confirmation from RTA. The physical share transfer to demat account process takes 3-4 weeks to complete. The shareholder must submit a duplicate share certificate if the physical shares are lost.
